P1 PROPOSAL

PROPOSAL
For this unit I am going to continue with the “Look to the Future” idea. This idea was inspired by a short film I watched where someone was hit by a bus at the end. So I wrote a short film about a young couple who had a future ahead of them. They are out on a date and then the story line hints that the boy was going to propose but then he drops the ring on the road and runs to get it and get hit by a car. The main theme is going to be about what the young couple could have together in the future if this one even hadn’t ended that. I am going to change it slightly so that it is set in Redcar rather than Whitby because it would be too difficult to get everyone to Whitby with all the equipment. It would also be expensive. Redcar is a lot easier to get to because it is closer so it will be cheaper. I will also be working on my own from now on to make this film. The rest of my old group will be doing the other idea. I also think I will make a few more sound tracks rather than just using the one that my group made in my planning. This is because I think that the mood changes a lot all the way though so it would sound better if I had a few different tracks. Another think I would like to change is the name of the film (if that’s possible) because I think the name is quite long and doesn’t really describe what the film is about very well. I might change it to something simpler like “Think Future”. I like that name better because it fits in the theme of thinking about the future and what could have been but it also incorporates the motto of one of the road safety groups. There won’t be too much more planning needing to be done in order to make the film. I will need to find a new cast since the people that we’re originally going to be in the film when we were planning it are no longer available. I will have to do a few recce checks but some of the locations, for example the studio, I have already done in the planning. I will also have to go to Redcar and look around for locations. I defiantly want to film it in Redcar but I need to find all the exact streets.
